"Happy Father's Day, dad! Here's your new tie!"
"Great.... thanks! I.... love it."
Father's day is one of the most difficult holidays to shop for. For my dad and my husband, both men just aren't the most effective at communicating what they want. If the men in your life aren't like this, I am so happy for you. But for those of you who have men in your lives who are a little bit more mysterious when it comes to gifts, Well, I hope you'll find something in this short list that will help. For the outdoorsy dad
My husband is a gardener, and really doesn't like it when the hose is left out. I don't blame him. We've popped hoses, we've left them running for days without noticing, and we've had them rust over. With this wall mounted retractable hose, those problems are eliminated!
For the intellectual dad
It is so hard to be a husband and father in our world today. There are a million messages telling you that you're doing it wrong, that this way- no, THAT way- is the right way. The Ultimate Guide to Raising a Dynamic Catholic Family is an online course for parents that helps take the guesswork out of what it means to be a faithful family in today's world. Help the dad in your life embrace his vocation, and lead his family with courage!
What my husband actually wants
Yes, I am serious. My husband wants nothing less than three dozen chocolate chip cookies, or a chocolate chip cookie cake made with the same ingredients. The best chocolate chip cookies are, in fact, made with the recipe on the back of Nestle Tollhouse semi sweet cookie packs. Bake for 10 mins instead of 11 or 12.
